I am a popular evergreen shrub with aromatic, silvery-grey foliage and spikes of mauve-purple, fragrant flowers borne above the foliage for most of the year. A favourite for drier locations where my perfume is more pronounced.
I benefit from a light trim and dead heading of my spent flowers to promote a compact shape and encourage blooming.
I attract bees and beneficial insects.
A favourite for borders and beside path ways I am often planted in rows to create a low hedge.
My dried blooms can be sewn into small pillows which are often placed in drawers with clothing to make them smell nice and deter moths.
