I am a medium sized native shrub with a naturally dense habit and produces stunning bright red tipped foliage.
My naturally upright habit makes me a great choice for low informal hedging and screening.
My flowers attract nectar feeding birds and insects.
With good natural form I can be left unpruned or maintained at a smaller size. A light prune after flowering at the start of winter will encourage flushes of growth.
I thrive in most soils and conditions and am a good choice for boggy conditions where many plants may struggle.
I am popular and will make you happy because...
My foliage is flushed with bright red tones most prominent in new growth
I add colour and interest to low-allergen gardens
I develop good form without pruning but respond well to being clipped suiting me to formal hedges & screening
